Child safety standards

Discoverly has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our standards, how to report a concern and what we do about it.

Last updated 28 October 2026

1. Discoverly is for adults only

Discoverly is a professional networking app for people aged 18 and over. Our terms of use require every member to be at least 18. We remove any account we learn belongs to someone under 18.

2. What is prohibited

Anywhere on Discoverly, including profiles, photos, asks, posts and chats, you must not:

  • share, request, link to or promote child sexual abuse material of any kind;
  • sexualise minors in any way, including in text, drawings, AI-generated or edited images;
  • groom, solicit or try to contact a minor for sexual purposes;
  • engage in or facilitate the trafficking or sexual exploitation of children; or
  • threaten to share intimate images of anyone (sextortion).

3. How to report a concern

  • In the app: open the member’s profile and tap the ••• menu, or open your chat with them and tap the ⋮ menu, then choose Report. Pick “Inappropriate or offensive content” and describe the concern. From a chat you can include the recent messages, which are otherwise end-to-end encrypted and unreadable to us. You can also block the member.
  • By email: write to discoverly.connect@gmail.com with “Child safety” in the subject.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police first. In India, call 112, or the Childline on 1098, or report online at cybercrime.gov.in.

4. What we do

  • Child safety reports are reviewed first, and every report is reviewed within 24 hours.
  • We remove the content and permanently suspend the accounts involved.
  • We preserve the relevant information and report the matter to the appropriate authorities, including India’s National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and the police as required by the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable.
  • We cooperate with law enforcement requests made through proper legal process.

5. Contact

Our designated child safety contact can be reached at discoverly.connect@gmail.com. This contact can speak about our CSAM prevention practices and compliance.
